Sponsorship business

Warwick is now by far the largest sponsor of “Grass Root Sport” in SA. In 2009 and 2010 it will be involved in the sponsorship of close to 300 sports clubs and over 300 tournaments and events nationally. These are all at club level, where sport loving South Africans can be found every day of the week enjoying their own chosen sport.

Since 2002 Warwick has grown to be the largest sponsor of lawn bowls in South Africa. In fact it is now the largest sponsor nationally and across Africa as a whole by at least five fold.

Warwick sponsor clubs and sports tournaments across the whole of South Africa and have five full time staff dedicated to the managing of all these sponsored clubs, the events held at them and the precious relationship Warwick has built up with the sport or its governing body over the last decade.

Thousands of sports mad South Africans are now benefiting from Warwick sponsoring their sports club but also by becoming a Warwick client. This number grows daily and the “Warwick Bell” at the Warwick House, Alphen Estate, Alphen Drive, Constantia rings out each day at 5 pm to notify all within earshot of the number of clients that have joined Warwick that day.

A recently signed agreement between Warwick and Bowls SA will see around R12m pumped into the sport through to the end of 2012. As Warwick has perfected its ability to assist sports and the “man in the street” who plays them, so it has also been able to move into ever more sports, thus spreading its message of Private Client, performance and service excellence.
